Miss Jolene Litzman Weds Mr. Mark Erdmann Weds

Miss Jolene Marie Litzman and Mr. Mark Andrew Erdmann were united in marriage on Saturday, October 17, 2015 at five o'clock at Christ Memorial Lutheran Church in Houston, Texas. The double ring ceremony was officiated by the Reverend Steven Simon. Music for the ceremony was provided by the Avalon Strings. Scripture readings were given by Kelsey Hornung and Mark Kaye. A reception immediately followed at Lakeside Country Club with entertainment provided by the Avalon Strings during the cocktail hour and Pete's Mobile DJ during dinner and dancing. On the eve of the wedding, the parents of the groom hosted a rehearsal dinner at Patrenella's. A bridal brunch was hosted by Lynne Hornung and Anita Jones, aunts of the bride, and Kelsey Hornung and Erin Stephens, cousins of the bride, at Seasons 52 on the day of wedding. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Bruce Litzman of Houston, Texas. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Lucille Litzman of Temple, and the late Henry and Lillian Litzman and the late Elliott and Eula Crook, all of Cameron. The groom is the son of Ms. Deborah Lowe Erdmann of Houston and Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Allen Erdmann of Austin. He is the grandson of Mrs. Betty Lowe and the late John Lowe of Huntsville and Mrs. Virginia Erdmann and the late Walter Erdmann of Austin. Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore a gown designed by Essense of Australia. The ivory fit and flair gown, covered with lace and diamante beading, featured a sweetheart neckline and a keyhole back. The bride chose a finger length veil trimmed with lace to compliment her gown. She wore a diamond bracelet which was a wedding gift from the groom. The bride carried a bouquet beautifully composed of ivory hydrangeas, roses, and dahlias wrapped with lace from her mother's bridal veil and included her maternal grandmother's lace handkerchief and her paternal grandmother's rosary. She also wore a sixpence in her shoe, a gift from her mother and father on the eve of the wedding. Serving the bride as Matron of Honor was Dr. Ashley Gibbs Washington of Okinawa, Japan. Bridesmaids were Mrs. Kathryn Jones Muckleroy of New York, New York, Mrs. Amy Hornung Brunson of Cameron, both cousins of the bride, Mrs. Amy Linn Stephens of Tampa, Florida and Miss Perrin Langlois of Houston. The bridesmaids wore floor-length gowns of Hunter green in different styles and silhouettes. They carried bouquets of hydrangeas, mums, stocks and dahlias in fall colors. The flower girl was Kathryn Stephens, cousin of the bride, and ringer bearer was Gavin Erdmann, son of the groom. Members of the House Party were Mrs. Erin Jones Stephens of La Grange and Miss Kelsey Marie Hornung of Austin. Brother of the groom, Michael Erdmann of Dallas served as Best Man. Groomsmen included Christopher Oddo of Austin, brother of the groom, Scott Litzman of Houston, brother of the bride, and Christopher Timmons of Cypress, close friend of the groom. The bride attended Stratford High School in Houston, graduated from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, and earned her MBA from the University of Texas McCombs School of Business in Austin, Texas in 2012. While at Emory she was a member and officer of the Delta Delta Delta Sorority and a two-year All American volleyball player. She is currently employed by PricewaterhouseCoopers in Houston as a Management Consultant. The groom graduated from McKinney High School in McKinney, Texas and attended Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas. He is currently employed by Kirk Erectors, Inc. as Vice President of Business Development. Following their honeymoon to Costa Rica, the couple will reside in Houston, Texas with their son Gavin and dog Izzy.
