Mary Jane Saunier, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Smith Saunier, senior, of Winchester, and Nelson Davis Rodes IV, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Butler Rodes of Danville, were married Saturday, November 14, 2015 at the Cathedral of Christ the King. Father Gino Donatelli was the Celebrant and Father Norman Fischer was the Concelebrant. Music was provided by Brian Hunt, organ, Richard Byrd, trumpet, and Walter Guerrant Ecton III, cantor.
The bride is the granddaughter of Mr. Stanley Martin Saunier, junior, Lexington, and the late Mrs. Stanley Martin Saunier, junior, as well as the late Mr. and Mrs. Walter Guerrant Ecton, senior, Winchester. The groom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Nelson Davis Rodes, junior, Danville, and the late Mr. and Mrs. William Barbour Clemmens, Goshen.
Matron of Honor was Meredith Johns Hall, Lexington. Maid of Honor was Jennifer Anne Mueller, Washington, DC. Bridesmaids were Lucy Pumphrey Aaron, Lexington, Emily Alison Baumann, Louisville, Deborah Morgan Roberts, Arlington, VA, Mary Clemmens Rodes, Danville, Elizabeth Randolph Rush, Winchester, Virginia Shannon Rush, Laura Martin Schnettler and Abigail Dorton Thornberry all of Lexington. Junior Bridesmaid was Caroline Shelton West, Lexington. Flower girls were Hallie Katherine Lathram, Callaway Reese Stafford, and Mary Walker West all of Lexington.

The bride is a graduate of Lexington Catholic High School and Centre College. She worked in the United States Senate for six years and has recently accepted a job with the National Federation of Independent Business.
The groom is a graduate of The McCallie School in Chattanooga, TN, Centre College, the University of Kentucky College of Law, and Georgetown University Law Center. He is employed by Ernst and Young.
After a wedding trip to Mexico, the couple will live in Atlanta, GA.
